Welcome back! We are excited to have our students back. We have a few new staff members this year. Ms. Judd is a new 1st grade teacher. Mrs. Fowler joined us in January and is teaching 3rd grade. Mrs. Isaac is new to our 4th grade team. Mrs. Witkamp and Mrs. Smith are new to 5th grade as a job share. Mrs. Williams is our STEM teacher. Mrs. Hollands and Mrs. Olsen are our new librarians. Ms. Glenn is the school social worker. Let’s give them a great big welcome to Draper Elementary.
According to Mercy Health, staying healthy through the autumn season takes a nice combination of wholesome habits. Here are a few of their recommendations. Get enough Vitamin D. Take a brisk walk to enjoy the sunlight and get fresh air. Feeling chilly can dehydrate you as much as sweating so make sure to stay hydrated. Be vigilant about handwashing and schedule any checkups you may have missed over the summer.
Our PTA fundraiser will kick off in September. Look for important information on how you can support the fundraiser and be involved in our PTA.

Again, this year our Lifeskills team will be sharing monthly videos and/or reading books to our student body. Prior to each presentation, they will share the book title and character education lesson associated with the book. Parent Teacher Conferences will be held Monday, September 23rd and Wednesday, September 25th. Sign-ups will open September 9th.
