From Principal Christy Waddell

SPIRIT NIGHT: Pier 49 is sponsoring a spirit Night Tuesday, September 15 from 11am-9 pm

FREE LUNCH & BREAKFAST:You should have received a message from the district about free breakfast and lunch.  If your child is in person, they simply need to just tell their teacher they are getting the school lunch.  Breakfast is served starting at 8:15am.  On line and Parent led students can pre-order their lunch/breakfast by contacting our lunch manager before 9am (801-826-7975).  You will have to pick it up between 10:45 and 11:15. So sorry, but that is the only time frame where it is available for pick up.

ORCHESTRA: We are starting orchestra this week.  It is available for 4thand 5thgraders.  Here is the link to sign up.  This is available for all on line and in person students.  This is considered an extracurricular activity and there is a fee involved. http://elementarymusic.canyonsdistrict.org

PARKING LOT: Our drop off/pick up is going very smoothly for the most part.  We notice that it takes at most 10 minutes to get all the kids in cars and on your way after school.  Please continue to use the parking lot the way it was planned.  We are hoping to get a crossing guard at the east side of the school in the neighborhood.  We would ask that you not park along the street to pick up your kids where it requires your children to cross an unsafe road.   Thank you to everyone who is pulling up as far to the east as possible.  It really helps everything move smoothly.

PICTURE DAY: Friday from 9am to noon is our picture day. On line and parent led students can also come in during that time to get their pictures taken.  A flier with more information is going home.
