Families:
We miss seeing your beautiful children at the school. Currently, the school is closed. Our wonderful custodian, Fano, is there during the week making sure the building is safe and clean for when we are able to welcome everyone back in. I hope virtual schooling is going well for you but remember, just do your best. All three of my children have kids in Canyons District schools (2nd grade through 10th grade) and so I know very well what you are each going through and you are to be commended.
This week is SPRING BREAK. I have asked the teachers not to even look at their emails for a week. I will also try hard to disconnect. Please understand if we do not answer you at all this week. Tell your kids we all said to just try and have some fun this week.
Amy Beckert is our Teacher of the Year!! We will be doing more celebrations with Amy once we get back to school. Those of you that know her, know that she is well deserving of this honor.
We will make it through this. This is probably the most difficult thing I have had to do in my 30 years in education. We are all learning how to do it so please be patient with all of us. We love and care for each one of your children. We worry when we don’t see them on line or answering any of the teachers emails so please try your best to at least check in so we know you are safe and healthy. For those of you that are not well, please take care of yourselves. We so want to see you again. I am hopeful we will see you in May but whatever the coming weeks bring, we will do this as we work together. I will keep you informed if anything changes with our being together again in May.
