MRS. KATIE TINOCO is our teacher of the year!! She teaches 2nd grade DLI and is an amazing teacher. Not only is she a wonderful teacher but she is able to collaborate with her Chinese partner teacher EVEN WHEN HE WAS IN CHINA!! Mrs. Tinoco spent the first 5-6 months of school, teaching but also ensuring the Chinese class was prepared with what was needed while we waited for her Chinese partner to arrive from China. We had several substitutes for him and Katie had to manage all of that. Not once did Katie Tinoco complain to me. She was working much more that she was being paid for but she just did it because of her love for her students. We are so fortunate to have her teaching at Draper. Congratulations, Katie Tinoco!!
