Principal’s News – December 2025
From phones and tablets to streaming movies and YouTube, tech and media are everywhere. Kids love easy access to shows, games, and information. Parents and caregivers love that kids can learn on the go (and stay busy when dinner’s cooking), but it’s easy to overdo it when the phone never stops pinging and the next episode plays automatically. Families can keep media and tech use in check by following a few simple practices(www.commonsense.org/education).
It is wonderful when you bring lunch for your children and sit with them to eat in the lunchroom. Students are often excited to have you bring Chick-fil-A, pizza, hamburgers, and all the other yummy foods you surprise them with. Please remember that the food you bring is for you and your family only. We cannot allow you to share food (even fries) with friends and classmates. With allergies, parent preference, and our nutrition lunch program sharing food is not allowed. Thank you for your compliance in this matter.
This month we will practice our Hold drill. During this drill we will clear the playground and hallways, account for all students and staff, and maintain classroom activities as normal.
Mondays with Marissa will focus on service. Our Wellness staff will extend a service project with the Utah Food Bank and discuss the importance of service to others and our community. Look for more information next week.
