ART CLASS VOLUNTEERS:Looking for some volunteers to help in ART CLASSROOM helping with projects with 5th grade (glaze ceramics) & 3rd grade (stained glass windows).   3rd grade parents, please remember to send $1 donation per student for their supplies.  No art experience need to volunteer, just willing to work with incredible young creative students.  Please make sure you are registered to volunteer in the Canyon School district: http://www.canyonsdistrict.org/district-news/item/12026-apply-now-to-volunteer-at-your-neighborhood-school

SCIENCE AWARD:Our six 5thgrade teachers have won the Elementary Science Department Award!  They will be receiving the award at a banquet on February 8th!! It is nice to see all of their hard work recognized by the Utah Science Teachers Association. CONGRATULATIONS to Jennifer Asay, James Hatch, Patrice Rogers, Noelia Ricks, Ashley Larsen, Nissa Lu.

ATTENDANCE:  21 percent of Canyons District students were chronically absent in 2017-2018. For every classroom of 30 students, 5 missed 10 percent of the school year, or more. Help us realize our New Year’s Resolution to #BeGreatMissLessThanEight days of school.

BOXTOPS:Our BoxTop for May and October was very successful. We collected 5,330 Boxtops and the school earned $703.30. The top BoxTop classes were; Madsen, Yao, Myles and Wu. Our next collection day is February 13, 2019. The PTA thanks all of you who collect and turn in the Boxtops, because the Boxtop program is successful with your participation.

DRAGON DELIVERY                                                                                    NOVEMBER 25, 2018

DRAPER TREE LIGHTING: The Draper school choir will be singing at the Tree Lighting ceremony on Monday November 26that 6:00pm.  Dress warm. 

FESTIVAL OF THE TREES: Our school choir will be singing at the Festival of the Trees on Wednesday November 28thfrom 7:50-8:20pm.  Come support them.  I hope to see you all there.

CLASSIC SKATING: There is a classic skating night from 5pm to 8:30pm on Wednesday November 28th

ATTENDANCE:  There are only 3½ weeks until Winter Break!!  We will be doing lots of fun things but mostly your children will be learning. Please do your best to make sure they are here every day and ON TIME.  Thank you so much.
