RED RIBBON WEEK: This is the week the PTA talks to the kids about being drug and alcohol free. Here is the schedule of events.

Red Ribbon Week is this week. As a PTA we’d like to celebrate Red Ribbon week with the following activities:

Monday – Wear Red

Tuesday – College Day “I am committed to a bright future”

Wednesday – Pajama Day “I believe I can achieve my dreams”

Thursday – Wear Neon Colors “I am too bright to do drugs”

Friday – Wear Sunglasses “Shade out drugs”

Wednesday the kids will have the opportunity to take the Drug Free pledge at lunch. Please see the Red Ribbon Week Flyer for more information. Red Ribbon Week.pdf

SCC meeting:  Our next meeting has been moved to Tuesday October 29that 3pm in the library at the school.  All are invited to attend.  Here is the agenda: https://draper.canyonsdistrict.org/images/Agenda_1022.pdf

HALLOWEEN PARADE: We will be starting our parade at approximately 10:00am.  We will be walking around the historic park and the cemetery.  The kindergarten students will only be walking around the park.  The classroom parties are mostly in the afternoon but check with your child’s teacher to be sure. Remember, no masks and no weapons or anything resembling a weapon. Light sabers are okay. Since Halloween is on a Thursday, it is NOT an early out day.

IMPORTANT DATES:

Monday October 21:  Picture Retakes, 3rdgrade to the Aquarium (they will do retakes before they go on their field trip)
